Abbreviations for vaccines:
DPT: Diphtheria, Pertussis (acellular), Tetanus HiB: Haemophilus influenzae type B Hep B: Hepatitis B Prevnar: Pneumococcus Vaccine 13 Rotateq: Rotavirus (oral) Varivax: Chicken Pox MMR: Measles, Mumps, Rubella Hep A: Hepatitis A Tdap: Tetanus for older children, Diphtheria, Pertussis (acellular) Menactra: Meningococcal Vaccine Gardasil: Human Papillomavirus
The schedule is always subject to modification based on continuously updated recommendations by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Tdap and Menactra are now required for all children entering 6th grade. Flu Vaccine is required for all children 6 months to 59 moss of age attending day care or preschool.
A blood count and lead level will be done at the 10 month and 2 year visits. Blood counts are done yearly after that. |
